4WD Now Selling G2 Axle & Gear CORE 44 Axle Housing for Jeeps

G2 has engineered an axle housing utilizing the newer generation Dana 44 gear sets, using larger diameter tubes and a thicker wall to make it stronger. Made for ’07 and up Jeep JKs, the contoured bottom and integrated skid plates on bracketry make the housing specifically designed to prevent hanging up on rocks.

Heavier constructions of the CORE 44 axle housing accommodate large 3 inch diameter axle tubes and late model JK ring and pinion gears. The brackets are laser cut and CNC-formed from 3/8 inch steel to add more strength. Brackets originate around stock mounting points and probable weak points are strengthened to avert bracket damage. To prevent bending and sustain camber when vehicles are carrying heavy loads, the housing has a solid forged inner c-end.
The CORE 44 has reinforced iron housing and reinforced ribs for added strength and protection. “We addressed internal areas like forged bearing caps, forged c-ends, and a robust differential cover to make the housing more resistant to distortion and deflection,” says Mathews.
