67% of Atlanta’s Top Entrepreneurs Are Optimistic About U.S. Economy in 2014
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Poll results released today indicate that Atlanta's leading entrepreneurs are eager to do business in 2014. Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP, the largest tax, accounting and business consulting firm in Georgia, conducted a sentiment poll of CEOs of entrepreneurial companies headquartered in Atlanta. 67% of poll respondents think that the U.S. economy is going to be rosier in 2014 compared to 2013.
"Entrepreneurial businesses are growing today, creating jobs," says Mitchell Kopelman, HA&W's partner-in-charge of the technology & biosciences group as well as the Firm's tax practice. "The businesses that weathered the storm of the Great Recession are resilient because they navigated a harsh time when banks weren't lending, investors were shy, and customers were slow to buy. These companies had to survive on their wit, enterprising spirit, sheer determination and outstanding leadership, which are handy skills to have when it comes to creating a high-performing company growing for the long-term."
The economy has been steadily improving, since the Great Recession a few years ago, and even though uncertainty exists to some extent in the economy today, Atlanta business owners participating in the poll are optimistic that the U.S. economy will expand and remain a beacon of light in the global economy.
"In my conversations with our membership, which is comprised of a 'who's who' of Atlanta's entrepreneur community, many are hiring, looking to expand globally, and are bringing new products to market as quickly as possible," said Hanno Ekdahl, President of EO Atlanta. "Creating a successful high-growth startup doesn’t happen in isolation; it requires an entrepreneurial ecosystem, and our members are plugged into every aspect of that ecosystem here in Atlanta. As the economy recovers, we expect a tectonic shift in the business landscape with new businesses firmly at the wheel.”
"Are CEOs of Atlanta's fast-growth businesses keen on 2014?" Kopelman asked. "Yes, is the resounding answer."
The poll was conducted of Entrepreneurs Organization-Atlanta (EO-Atlanta) members during October 2013. The survey yielded a 24.6 percent response rate. On average, EO member companies have annual revenues of $30 million. EO is a dynamic, global network of more than 9,500 business owners in 40 countries. Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO is the catalyst that enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life.
