7 Wonders wins an Emmy® Award in the category of Entertainment – Long Form Content for their work with the New Jersey Symphony.
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- 7 Wonders Cinema has been honored with a NATAS Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy award for their work with the New Jersey Symphony. Their award-winning piece is a thirty-minute long-form video that captures the orchestra's 'Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 21, K. 467' which features famous pianist Terrence Wilson. 7 Wonders Cinema previously collaborated with the New Jersey Symphony as they also garnered attention for their animated production of Peter and the Wolf, broadcast on PBS, the previous year.
7 Wonders Cinema is an award-winning video partner that takes complex ideas and turns them into simple, yet powerful videos. They are a full-service production company that brings strategy, production and editing together under one roof. The stories they tell have the ability to drive results, and their high-profile clients know that to be true. 7 Wonders has worked with companies such as Mercedes-Benz, US Bank and Comcast to name a few.
In the spirit of turning complex ideas into simple, yet powerful videos, their Emmy® Award win was no small feat. Through close collaboration with the symphony team, 7 Wonders Cinema produced and edited a virtual concert that engages the viewers and provides them with an experience like no other. While the finished product looks smooth and effortless on screen, the technical complexity of the project was surely a major contributor to the award win.
This project required a total of twelve cameras, with each one individually filming for the entire duration of the performance and then stitched together in post-production. Each camera was strategically placed throughout the concert hall for maximum visual impact. Multiple cameras were in motion and had to be choreographed so as to not obstruct the view of another. The result is an intimate experience that makes you feel as if you are on stage alongside the masterful musicians of the New Jersey Symphony.
Terrence Wilson who, according to the Baltimore Sun, is one of the biggest pianistic talents to have emerged in the last twenty-five years is mesmerizing to watch on screen. Under the direction of conductor José Luis Domínguez, the entire symphony comes to life. 7 Wonders has truly allowed the viewer to step onto the floor of the concert hall and observe these once-in-a-lifetime talents from an angle that most symphony goers could only dream of.
