99tests launches Bug-a-thon platform for app testing
Bangalore, Karnataka (PRWEB) September 24, 2016 -- Meeting user expectation is hard in today’s digital era where users are spoilt for choice. Once glitch and users will abandon an app or website. That is why even companies like Google are relying on crowd testing to test their apps in the real world to find bugs before customers find them.
With the latest launch of the Bug-a-thon platform by 99tests, companies can now get a taste of crowd testing and find critical bugs before their customers. 99tests is a crowd testing company based out of bangalore that offers testing services including functional testing, usability testing, security testing & localization testing.
Companies have to submit their app’s URL on the Bug-a-thon portal. Every week, 10 apps will get free app testing. The contest is open to both mobile app owners and websites owners. The registered companies can access up to 30 valid bugs. The apps are tested by crowd testers part of the 99tests community.
99tests offers monetary rewards to its crowd testers for finding the bugs. The testers are paid according to the quality of bugs. The quality of bugs found are judged based on the severity, impact and complexity of the vulnerability exposed.
The team hopes that the Bug-a-thon platform will help companies with product analysis and provide them insights for fixing crucial issues to make their apps more powerful. 99tests has helped over 200 clients in India, North America, Europe & Australia to test their web & mobile apps.
