ACG New York Announces Departure of Executive Director Bobby Blumenfeld
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 06, 2019 -- ACG New York, the largest financial middle market non-profit association and largest chapter of ACG Global, announced today that Executive Director Robert (Bobby) Blumenfeld will be departing to pursue new business opportunities effective August 31, 2019.
Blumenfeld joined ACG New York in 2000 when it was a small chapter of ACG Global. In 2004, he became Volunteer-President for six years, and in 2010 became the first full-time Executive Director of ACG New York.
“From the onset, my focus has been on the strategic development and creation of a platform for the middle market community where professionals would benefit from increased deal flow, middle market knowledge, and long-term business relationships. The success and growth of ACG New York has rewarded me with great pride and accomplishment,” Blumenfeld said. “I leave ACG New York knowing that ACG leadership and committee volunteers will continue to build upon the strong foundation that has been created.”
During his leadership, Blumenfeld led the growth of the association from 175 members to over 1,100, and increased annual programming from nine events to 65, with over 7,500 middle market professionals attending. Additionally, he was instrumental in the creation of ACG Cares, increasing inclusion in the middle market, development of the ACG University-New York program in conjunction with Fordham University, and creation of Middle Market Week.

The Board has named a committee to lead the search for the next leader of ACG New York, headed by Marcia Nelson, ACG New York Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Alberleen Family Office Solutions.
