AERÉ Marine Group Parters with West Marine South Florida for Hurricane Preparation
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (PRWEB) August 07, 2018 -- AERÉ Marine Group is partnering with West Marine’s South Florida flagship store in Fort Lauderdale for a hurricane boat preparation event on Saturday, August 11 at 10 a.m. The event will help educate boaters how they can better brace themselves for the upcoming hurricane season and answer any questions they might have about their own preparation measures.
To help prepare boaters for 2018 hurricanes, AERÉ Marine Group offers docking and mooring products, especially highly durable inflatable fenders. These fenders help create a buffer between a boat and dock pilings, seawalls or other boats, protecting vessels from severe damage to the hull. Fenders are indispensable in the case of a hurricane, so AERÉ Marine Group will help event attendees understand which fenders will best apply to their vessels and how to use them in case a hurricane is likely or imminent.

While the season is expected to be less active than 2017, even a tropical storm has the potential to severely damage boats that aren’t prepared. This gives boaters reason to be cautious and make all necessary preparations before the worst of the hurricane season moves through their hometowns.
Though it only takes a small hurricane or tropical storm to mess up a boat, an especially active 2017 hurricane season produced 10 hurricanes, six of which the NOAA classified as “major hurricanes.” That season includes the well-documented storms Harvey (Texas), Irma (Caribbean, Florida), and Maria (Caribbean and Puerto Rico). The forecast for the 2018 season combined with the collective recoil from last year’s devastating storms are prompting boaters to be more diligent.
