ATLANTA (PRWEB) August 01, 2018 -- AGRO Merchants Group, a global leader in cold storage and logistics solutions, announced today the acquisition of Transmode, a leading regional transportation business based in Paulsboro, NJ with most of its business operations in Philadelphia, PA. This transaction substantially enhances AGRO’s North East transportation operations with a primary focus on meat and other protein commodities. Vince D’Anella – owner of Transmode and a well-known industry executive with more than 35 years of industry experience – will continue in a lead role at AGRO as Director of Transportation.
Established in 1995, Transmode is today the largest regional meat delivery service in the North East United States and one of the most important players in this import market. Transmode’s operations are split between port drayage services and outbound transportation to distribution centers and processing facilities. The business developed a stellar reputation due to its responsiveness, service quality and long-standing relationships with meat receivers and operators. Transmode is an active member of several leading trade associations including the Meat Importers Council of America (MICA), the World Trade Association and Ship Philly First.
