AGRO Merchants Group Purchases Facility In Dublin
Newly-built cold store in strategic location substantially enhances local capabilities.
AMSTERDAM, September 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AGRO Merchants Group, a global leader in cold storage and logistics solutions, announced today the purchase of a newly-constructed cold store in Dublin, Ireland. The site is located at Food Central, a dedicated 280-acre food park located beside the Airport and a short drive from the Port. As part of this transaction, AGRO will lease part of the facility to UK-based Oakland International, which the parties expect will create new business collaboration opportunities going forward. AGRO will commence operations at the new site beginning in October 2019.
The facility was constructed in 2018 and fitted for both chilled and frozen storage. An expansion is currently in process and will be complete in October, with another expansion already being planned and scheduled for completion in May 2020. Upon completion, the total facility size will be approximately 7,600 square meters (81,800 square feet), with significant additional land available for future expansion.
