AISN Cloud Readiness Assessment Services Would Help Virginia Agencies Respond to Mandate

Ralph Northam's new mandate requiring Commonwealth of Virginia agencies to move to the cloud, AIS Network is offering to help those agencies respond by performing cloud readiness assessments before the deadline for those reports. The assessment process determines which applications and data can be moved to the cloud smoothly with minimal impact to business operations.
The new gubernatorial mandate, Executive Order Nineteen (EO19, issued on Sept. 17), requires Virginia agencies to shift their locally hosted information technology systems and services to cloud-based platforms over the next few years. The agencies have been tasked to submit cloud readiness plans to the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) later this fall. Starting in January, agencies must identify which resources will be needed to migrate to the cloud.

- Developing a formal process to enable evaluation of cloud service options,
- Confirming adherence to VITA security and infrastructure policies,
- Building reports for:
- The percentage of physical and virtually deployed IT system components,
- Cloud-readiness status (cloud-ready or not cloud-ready) and workloads, and,
- Resource requirements to make systems cloud-ready.
