A Landmark Vector Victory in Fayetteville

After achieving yet another landmark win, Vector is prepared to offer a range of vehicle maintenance, fleet improvement and cost management measures to revolutionize fleet management in Fayetteville. Instead of reactionary solutions to vehicle problems, Vector will provide preventative maintenance, towing, parts inventory acquisition, remedial repairs and fleet management for 1,289 units. Vector will assist Fayetteville in all aspects of its daily and emergency operations; including fire and police vehicles, sanitary vehicles and equipment, heavy equipment, snow and lawn equipment and bucket trucks.
Vector Fleet Management has the experience to reduce the overall fleet maintenance cost and relieve budgetary pressure. Our fleet management techniques control subcontractor and parts costs while keeping overall fleet maintenance costs below budget. This will allow the enactment of a 10% sharing ratio on annual work-cost savings. We're also proud of our ability to leverage a centrally located, fully equipped maintenance facility. Located on five fenced acres, the facility will be comprised of 41,000 square feet of shop space and parts storage. After its renovation and modifications, it will have the offices, parking, infrastructure and tooling to serve as Fayetteville's fleet maintenance hub. Vector will be providing all diagnostics, tire machines, shop tooling and parts inventory. The state of the art shop will include truck lifts and repair bays for SUVs, cars, light trucks, medium/heavy duty trucks, and refuse truck and equipment. This maintenance facility was a critical component of Fayetteville's RFP, and Vector is best suited to bring it to fruition.
Vector brings the latest technology to the table with TMT, our Fleet Management Information System (FMIS). Technician productivity data can be extracted from the FMIS, which we then utilize to track actual hours spent on repair orders, identify counterproductive labor and labor unrelated to the technician's assigned repair. With this system, each technician is expected to maintain an 85% productivity rate.
Repair and maintenance are handled through the framework of our Preventive Maintenance Schedule, aimed at effectively increasing vehicles' life spans as per good fleet management standards and practices. Vector prioritizes repair work on critical vehicles after a breakdown to get them back into service without undue delay. Otherwise, preventive maintenance and repairs are scheduled for times when the vehicles are not in use. There is a direct correlation between the increase in overall fleet operating efficiencies and a reduction capital expended for the fleet's assets.
