Academic Partnerships Adds On-Campus Student Recruitment and Retention Services
Expanded services to help grow university enrollments on the ground and online.
DALLAS, April 02, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Academic Partnerships (AP), a global leader in assisting universities grow their student enrollment and revenue, today announced an expansion of its services to include recruitment and retention of on-campus students for its partner institutions.
Since 2013, high-school graduating classes across the United States have been shrinking year after year, and the trend is expected to continue through the middle of the next decade. Between 2026 and 2031, the ranks of high school graduates are expected to drop by 9 percent, according to the Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education. The Northeast and Midwest—home to the highest density of colleges in the United States—show a continued and steady decline in high-school graduates. At the same time, colleges are struggling to retain students. Just about 60 percent of students who start at a four-year college graduate within six years.
"Universities nationwide have been under increasing pressure because of declining numbers of high school graduates," said Rob Ganji, chief executive officer and vice chairman of Academic Partnerships. "AP is planning to address this issue by taking our successful recruitment and retention model for online students and applying it to on-campus enrollment."
AP has long offered a comprehensive set of recruitment and retention strategies for online enrollment. While those strategies have been successful in increasing the number of online students, they have largely gone unused among the traditional undergraduate residential population. Now powered by the expanded artificial intelligence capabilities of AP's Data Raven, the company will bring its approach to grow a vibrant student body for the entire university. AP will launch strategy meetings with campus partners in May and plans to begin on-campus recruitment and retention of students this fall.
The expanded on-campus services will be provided to partner campuses at no charge for at least the first year. "Our hope is to help our partner universities have an impact on 100,000 on-campus students within three years," Ganji said.
The on-campus recruitment and retention strategy is the second major initiative announced by AP in the past several weeks. Recently, AP announced it was expanding the capabilities of Data Raven to provide a broader set of capabilities and services to its partner universities.
