Alsana Continues to Help Those With Eating Disorders

Alsana integrates evidence-based practice utilizing research from leaders in the field of eating disorders and related conditions, including Walter Kaye, Cynthia Bulik, Kate Tchanturia, Christopher Fairburn, Peter Levine, Marsha Linehan, Stephen Hayes, and Francine Shapiro. Alsana is also a member of the Residential Eating Disorder Consortium (REDC), which is committed to providing the highest standards of care in residential eating disorder treatment, and includes other top notch treatment facilities, such as Eating Recovery Center, Center for Discovery, and Monte Nido and Affiliates.
Eating disorders can result in significant pain, for not only the person suffering from the eating disorder, but also for family members and loved ones supporting them. Alsana offers families treatment and care, along with their loved one, through family therapy sessions and inclusion in the client’s treatment plan. The entire family travels the healing journey.
For all the healing and hope that clients have experienced at Castlewood in the past and Alsana in the present, we understand that there has been confusion and even misinformation about our treatment, our clinicians, and our model. Alsana is dedicated to providing excellent treatment, measuring outcomes, and working with patients with integrity, sincerity, and compassion. Alsana commits to working with the family as a team to help clients achieve a full recovery.
When it comes to eating disorder treatment, Alsana is truly at the forefront of the industry. The Alsana Adaptive Care Mode is a collaboratively-built and evidence based approach to treatment that offers clients treatment in many different modalities that best match their needs. Each staff member is trained in all modalities used, and then specializes in a chosen modality. This allows all staff to have an understanding of the treatment plans available, and allows us to tailor each treatment plan to the client so that they get the plan that will work best for them.
We require our clinicians to have an understanding of several stabilization interventions like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Then, each staff member will receive deeper training in at least one of the stabilization therapies.
Our staff are also trained in a variety of processing therapies. These therapies address the underlying issues related to the eating disorder. Some examples include: Cognitive Processing Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Expressive Therapy, or Internal Family Systems (IFS).
