American Flyers Announces Their Houston, TX Location is Moving to Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport (CXO)
CONROE, Texas (PRWEB) May 11, 2023 -- American Flyers has been training pilots since 1939 around the United States. After training pilots for over 25 years in Houston, Texas out of David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport (DWH) they are now relocating just a bit North to Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport (CXO) as of May 10, 2023.
The reason for the move is expansion and growth. Jill Cole, President of American Flyers was excited to announce “Our new facility at Conroe will help accommodate the growth we’ve experienced by providing more classroom and hangar space for our students, aircraft and employees.”
American Flyers was founded in Fort Worth, TX in 1939. Since its inception, the company has earned a worldwide reputation of being the premier school for flight training. American Flyers operates six training facilities across the country in New Jersey, Florida, Arizona and three in Texas. Holding true to our tradition of supporting pilots throughout their careers, American Flyers provides renewal certification for over 50 percent of all flight instructors.
In 1980, American Flyers merged with Aviation Training Enterprises (ATE), headquartered out of Chicago’s Midway Airport. Founded in 1947, ATE was highly respected for their expertise in IFR instruction as well as pioneering the use of flight simulators for both airline and civilian pilots. Our use of flight simulators remains a key-element in the success of our training courses and we have maintained our reputation as instrument training specialists for over 84 years.
“At American Flyers, we don’t sell fuel and we don’t charter or rent our airplanes. When asked why we don’t rent our airplanes to the public, the answer is simple: we want to ensure our students have access to our airplanes whenever they need them. Our priority is flight training and nothing else,” said Andrew F. Henley, Vice President, American Flyers.
American Flyers is known for a variety of flight training programs for every type of aviator. Even though they have trained more airline pilots than any other flight school, they specialize in programs for private, instrument, commercial add-on, multi-engine, and CFI certifications. They are a diversified flight school, and exist to help any aviator, from the seasoned veteran to the person looking for an introductory flight.
