Annie Leibovitz and James Comey Headline the Distinguished Speaker Series November 2018 - May 2019 SABAN Theatre in Beverly Hills
Already well established as a Southern California cultural institution, the Distinguished Speakers Series of the Westside has again lined up an all-star array of presenters for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Now in its fourth season at the SABAN Theatre in Beverly Hills, this season's speakers include James Comey, Annie Leibovitz, Jon Meacham, Chris Wallace, Alan Alda and Paul Nicklen. The Series is sold in subscription packages ranging from $475 to $260. Each presentation begins at 7:00pm.
With its season running from November 2018 to May 2019, on six different Sunday evenings, the Distinguished Speaker Series will bring Westsiders some of the world's most influential, timely, and captivating speakers.

Our goal is to present a compelling and bi-partisan style of educational entertainment to the community," said co-owner Kathy Winterhalder. "We've prided ourselves in the fact that what makes our series unique is that instead of the media selecting the sound bites or quotes, our patrons can listen, submit their questions and decide for themselves," said Winterhalder.
The series kicks off on November 4th with award-winning portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz. She will present a living history, taking our members behind-the-scenes with her compelling photographs of some of the most influential and famous celebrities, who have been her subjects over the past 30 years. Chris Wallace, one of the most respected reporters in the news business, will take the stage on January 13, 2019. This current host of FOX News Sunday will regale audiences with his first-hand accounts of asking tough questions of some of the most powerful, influential – and infamous – people in the world.
Controversial former FBI director, James Comey will offer candid insight on his tenure in the Trump administration, U.S. intelligence, and the political challenges of the 21st Century on February 10, 2019. On March 3, the Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian, Jon Meacham, will discuss America's presidency. Alan Alda will share stories from his remarkable television and film career and our shared humanity on April 14th. The Series will conclude with conservation activist and wildlife photographer, Paul Nicklen, whom Nat Geo recently named Adventurer of the Year. He will take audiences on an epic visual journey around the world on May 19, 2019.
Audience members have the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with each speaker during a moderated question and answer session at the conclusion of all events.
The Distinguished Speaker Series will be held at the Saban Theatre, 8440 Wilshire Blvd, in Beverly Hills. Each program takes place on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm

The Distinguished Speaker Series was established in 1995 in response to Southern California's need for an enlightening entertainment alternative. The Distinguished Speaker Series is currently held at four locations, the historic Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, the Bank of America, Thousand Oaks Performing Arts Center, and most recently, the SABAN Theatre in Beverly Hills now in its 4th season.
