Following his graduation he attended and graduated in 1990 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine with his Medical Degree.
Dr. Roberts began his post-graduate training with a general internship at Providence Hospital based in Washington, D.C., Dr. Roberts next completed a fellowship in ocular pathology in the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, cultivating a strong specialization in his field. In 1993, he moved to Long Island, New York, where he began a three-year residency in ophthalmology with Stony Brook University and the affiliated Nassau University Medical Center and in the Harvard Lancaster program. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
After completing his training, Dr. Roberts founded his private practice, Shady Grove Ophthalmology. He has been practicing medicine now for nearly three decades.
