Asset Drone President & CEO Jason Worley To Speak At InterDrone 2018
COLLEYVILLE, Texas (PRWEB) August 13, 2018 -- Organizers of the largest commercial drone event in North America invited Asset Drone president, CEO and co-founder Jason Worley to speak at its annual event, InterDrone 2018, in Las Vegas from September 5-7, 2018. Worley’s presentation, “Using GCP with RTKpost and Pix4D to Create Accurate Topography Maps,” is Friday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. local time.

Worley is a technology innovator with more than 25 years in the industry. Prior to founding Asset Drone with his partners, he was the chief information officer at a major healthcare system, where he helped grow the business in various C-level roles over his 14-year tenure there from one location to more than 120, from a few dozen employees to more than 5,000.

His presentation will focus on using post-process kinematics (“PPK”) using free tools to accurately measure Ground Control Point (“GCP”) locations. Accurately placed GCP’s are a necessary step to achieve accurate ortho-rectified imagery and topography maps, using tools such as Pix4D, DroneDeploy, and others. Details will include going over the entire process from end-to-end, and include detailed examples of specific tools and methods, such as use of RTKpost and CORS.
