For the second year in a row, Astro Pak is honored to be named by the Orange County Business Journal as a Best Place to Work in Orange County. This year Astro Pak is ranked #1 in the large employer category. This award was given by the Orange County Business Journal, which is the second largest business journal in California. In 2018, Astro Pak first received the Best Place to Work award in Orange County, with the additional honor of ranking third place in the medium size employer category. For this year, Astro Pak received the award for the second year in a row, with the exceptional honor of being ranked number one in the large employer category!
According to the Orange County Business Journal, the purpose of this competition is to "identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Orange County." This award is open for "all business and governmental entities with 15 employees or more in Orange County itself" to participate. Companies are evaluated for this honor through a two-part process: first, an extensive, anonymous employee survey; and second, in-depth evaluation of company-wide benefits and policies. This year, Astro Pak was excited to share about our expanded benefit offerings for 2019, including new paid parental benefits, higher PTO accruals, and accelerated 401k vesting schedules.
As the Orange County Business Journal reports of the selection process, "The resulting data is analyzed by Best Companies Group, which manages the overall registration and surveying process. The scores are combined to determine the top organizations and final rankings."
