3Atlas Roofing Corporation Launches Pinnacle® Sun Shingles | Manufacturer's Newest Product Features 3M™ Sun-Reflective and Smog-Reducing Technologies
Atlas Roofing Corporation is excited to announce the addition of Pinnacle® Sun shingles to its Pinnacle® family of products.
ATLANTA, March 2, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Atlas Roofing Corporation is excited to announce the addition of Pinnacle® Sun shingles to its Pinnacle® family of products. As an expansion of the manufacturer's offering of premium asphalt shingles, Pinnacle® Sun features advanced innovations, including 3M™ Cool Roof technology, 3M™ Smog-reducing granule technology, 3M™ Scotchgard™ Protector, and HP42® technology.
These shingles are made to reflect the sun's radiant heat away from the roof, reducing the amount of heat that enters the home. As a result, this reflectivity decreases necessary cooling requirements and increases the overall energy efficiency of the home. Because Pinnacle® Sun shingles provide cool-roofing solutions that can lower indoor air temperatures, they are especially effective in climates with year-round cooling needs.
Pinnacle® Sun shingles are produced to meet the Cool Roof Rating Council's standards for their Solar Reflective Index (SRI) and may comply with city and state building codes for reflectivity.
In addition to groundbreaking reflective technology, Pinnacle® Sun also incorporates 3M™ Smog-reducing granule technology, inspired by the power of trees, to create a smog-fighting surface on the roof. Patented 3M™ Smog-reducing granules are formulated with a photocatalytic coating which, when activated by sunlight, allows the granules on the shingle to transform smog into water-soluble ions, helping to improve air quality. On an average-sized roof, Pinnacle® Sun shingles with 3M™ Smog-reducing granules have the smog-fighting capacity of 2-3 trees, helping to remove smog pollutants one roof at a time.
Offered in a beautiful palette of colors inspired by coastal regions, Pinnacle® Sun shingles are also designed to be visually stunning. With the addition of 3M™ Scotchgard™ Protector, which prevents ugly black streaks caused by algae — a hallmark of Pinnacle® shingles for over a decade — a Pinnacle® Sun roof will maintain its aesthetic appeal while also increasing the effectiveness of the reflectivity, differentiating this innovative product from all other shingles available today.
Combining reflectivity and smog-reducing technology with the Pinnacle® product standards, including a lifetime warranty against black streaks and stains, 130 mph wind resistance, and a 42-inch-wide format, Pinnacle® Sun offers one of the most unique sets of features of any asphalt shingle on the market, providing a tremendous value for homeowners.
Atlas is currently accepting new product orders for Pinnacle® Sun shingles, which are scheduled to begin shipping in early April 2023.
