Avid Collector Seeks Original 1967 The Doors Eagles Auditorium Seattle Psychedelic Concert Poster
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) January 08, 2019 -- Avid concert poster collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, is seeking original 1967 The Doors Eagles Auditorium Seattle psychedelic concert posters. Since this was a silkscreen, many layout color variations were produced. According to Hawley, “The Eagles Auditorium hosted many of the top rock n’ roll acts in the 1960s. Talking about good timing, the Doors single “Light My Fire” was number one in the charts when the band took stage at the Eagles Auditorium in Seattle on July 23, 1967. Also, the Door’s first album was one of the top 10 best selling releases that summer. Gebaroff Sign was the poster artist and was a high school printing teacher in Seattle. The poster features a lady’s face whose hair is made up of the band and venue names spelled out in psychedelic fonts. Her hands are folded at the bottom of the layout. This striking 14.5 x 23 inch poster is printed on cardboard.” For examples of The Doors psychedelic concert poster, please go to [http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/psychedelic/the_doors.html.
