Avomeen Hires New Head of Elemental Analysis
John Ferencz brings 12 years of chemistry experience to Avomeen to help grow its elemental analysis testing capabilities
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Avomeen Analytical Services recently announced John Ferencz as the new leader of its Elemental Analysis division. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing a growing lab unit that specializes in analysis of heavy metals and other elemental impurities.

Through this role, Ferencz will help clients comply with regulations such as USP 232 and USP 233, as well as California Proposition 65. He will also be in charge of maintaining analytical rigor and quality, overseeing the analytical team and managing client relationships.
With 12 years of experience as an analytical chemist, Ferencz has extensive experience developing, implementing and optimizing analytical methods used in both research and development and current good manufacturing practice environments. He is proficient in performing validation and verification for both developed and transferred analytical methods per U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Geological Survey guidelines. He has also planned and executed mineral and trace metals analysis for a variety of complex raw materials and finished goods.
Ferencz has spent his career in a variety of industries including nutraceuticals, food and drink, and regulatory compliance. Most recently, he worked as a chemist for Nature's Bounty Co. Prior to that, he worked as a Metals Supervisor and Team Leader for Microbac Laboratories where he designed and founded an EPA-certified metals department that analyzed minerals and trace metals in water. Earlier, he spent a year as a chemist at MillerCoors and five years as a chemist at Gemini Industries. He also worked as an analytical chemist at Edward S. Babcock & Sons.
Ferencz earned a bachelor's of science in chemistry from the University of California.
