BMMA Announces Winners of 2023 Best in Class Marketing Awards
MTA wins Provider Award and Calix wins Vendor Award at the BMMA 2023 Annual Meeting held in Austin, TX on April 18, 2023.
AUSTIN, Texas, April 28, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Broadband Multimedia Marketing Association (BMMA) recently announced the winners of the 2023 Best in Class Marketing awards.
"Each year, the BMMA (http://www.bmma.org) recognizes teams and companies that demonstrate innovation and excellence in marketing broadband services,'' said Ellis Hill, President of ResearchFirst, Inc., the BMMA's management firm. This year's awards went to a service provider, MTA, and a cloud and software platform company, Calix, each of which executed best in class marketing practices related to broadband products and services."
The winners are:
1. MTA (http://www.mtasolutions.com) "MTA Boost"
The target market for the MTA Boost service is anyone who could see value in having additional upload speeds within any of their internet packages. MTA primarily positions it as a "work-from-home" or "Remote Learning" solution for those households that have transitioned towards relying on video upload for either their now remote job or their children's remote schooling. However, there are numerous other use cases that would benefit from a service like this. (Photographer/Videographers, Gamers, Graphic Designers, etc.)
This program helps fill a void in the market by providing additional upload speeds to internet customers in any internet plan package. Before this product existed, if a customer had a need for additional upload speed, they were forced to purchase from a higher tier internet package at a higher tier price point. With MTA Boost, they have the option to remain in their same internet plan price package while also having the ability to pay just a small amount more to receive additional upload speeds. This product provides MTA's members with more flexibility when choosing their internet plan while providing a reasonable solution to those members who need additional upload - without forcing them to adopt a much higher internet plan package.
"MTA is all about connecting and empowering our members while innovating in terms of our products and services. The launch of our MTA Boost service encapsulated this philosophy perfectly, providing our members with best-in-class flexibility and service. We are all proud of our team's work bringing this service to our member base and are honored to be recognized by a forward-looking organization such as BMMA," said Michael Burke, CEO of MTA.
MTA Boost has been the most successful launch of MTA add-on services thus far. Within its first four months, Boost has outperformed both MTA Shield & totalWiFi, the co-op's other two add-on services, in both customer adoption and revenue generated. At around 623 customers, MTA is adding about 150 customers per month on average for this service.
2. Calix (http://www.calix.com) "Calix Marketing Cloud: Purpose-Built for Broadband Marketers"
Calix Marketing Cloud has evolved to become the only marketing platform that is purpose-built for broadband service providers (BSPs) so they can easily enrich their subscriber experience insights with powerful demographic, psychographic, and geographic data. This enables even broadband marketing teams of one to generate the subscriber insights needed to grow their businesses in increasingly competitive broadband markets.
By using Calix Marketing Cloud to generate experience insights from their data, BSP marketers can identify high-value subscribers—and prospects—with a greater propensity to adopt new services. With a more robust understanding of a household's broadband-related needs, BSPs can take action to improve the subscriber experience. As a result, they can deliver additional broadband and managed Wi-Fi services that increase average revenue per user (ARPU), enhance Net Promoter Scores℠ (NPS®) and grow their businesses.
"We are thrilled to receive continued recognition for the industry-shifting evolution of Calix Marketing Cloud," said Matt Collins, chief commercial operations officer at Calix. "It is the first subscriber acquisition solution that meets a critical need for broadband businesses—acquiring new subscribers in a precise and intelligent manner. Today, significant investment is flowing into our industry from both public and private sources. As BSPs expand in nearly every market, competition for subscribers is increasing. Now BSPs can greatly improve their go-to-market effectiveness and their marketing impact so they can capture growth opportunities in competitive markets. More importantly, they can help subscribers by offering them services that enhance their lives and deliver an exceptional experience."
Calix Marketing Cloud helps BSPs of all sizes grow their businesses during this pivotal moment for the broadband industry. Broadband marketers can more easily generate the insights they need to expand into new territories, acquire new subscribers and roll out new services. They can go beyond basic connectivity to create an exceptional subscriber experience that will increase satisfaction and loyalty. By communicating value at every step of the subscriber journey, they'll reinforce the BSP's integral role in subscribers' everyday lives and in their communities.
