Blood Cancers Today Expands Editorial Board With Experts in MDS and Lymphoma
Drs. Guillermo Garcia-Manero and Kami Maddocks join the Blood Cancers Today Editorial Board
MANALAPAN, N.J., April 4, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Blood Cancers Today, a Mashup Media LLC property, is excited to announce the addition of two new members to its Editorial Board. Effective immediately, Guillermo Garcia-Manero, MD, and Kami Maddocks, MD, join the board's founding members, Editor-in-Chief Sagar Lonial, MD, FACP, and Associate Editors Elias Jabbour, MD; Thomas Martin, MD; Jerald Radich, MD; and Laurie Sehn, MD, MPH.
Blood Cancers Today, now in its second year of publication, is a web, email, and print platform that provides the latest news, education, and information relevant to hematologists and oncologists. It was launched in January 2022 as a partnership between Mashup Media, LLC and the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO).

SOHO noted that Dr. Garcia-Manero, of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, currently leads the largest program in MDS in the world and has been a long-time member of SOHO.
"In addition to his clinical and translational research expertise in MDS and acute myeloid leukemia, Dr. Garcia-Manero has led the development and advancement of treatments for these diseases worldwide," SOHO said. "He is also a long-standing member of our organization, currently serving as president-elect, and he will assume the SOHO presidency following the SOHO 2023 Annual Meeting in September."
SOHO said that the research done by Dr. Maddocks, of the Ohio State University, research will continue to improve treatment options for patients with lymphoma.
"Dr. Maddocks currently serves on the SOHO Education Committee, lending her expertise to developing programs and content related to B-cell malignancies, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and Hodgkin disease," SOHO said. "Dr. Maddocks' experience and ongoing research with novel targeted therapies in lymphoma will continue to improve treatment options for this challenging group of patients."
