Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley Take 400 Club Kids Shopping
Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley Back to School Shopping Spree. July 28th & August 4th.
CHANDLER, Ariz. and MESA, Ariz., July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Club members of Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley will spend nearly $60,000 on a shopping spree hosted at several Kohl's store locations. Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley youth are participating in the annual Back to School Shopping Spree, Saturday, July 28 and Saturday, August 4 starting at 7:00 am. Almost 400 Club members will benefit from the shopping spree.
We are looking for sponsors to donate $125 to provide a child their back to school shopping. Each child will be given $125 plus a 20% discount from Kohl's to buy materials for their back to school shopping spree. Branches partnered with Rotary, Kiwanis and other civic organizations to provide and recruit volunteers to assist youth ages 6-13 shop for clothes and shoes. The annual shopping spree helps prepare kids for a positive and successful start to the upcoming school year. Youth were selected based on need, Club membership and participation, behavior and performance. Each participant also receives a backpack stuffed with school supplies.
