Broadband Multimedia Marketing Association (BMMA) Elects New 2020-2021 Board of Directors
Industry-leading forum continues to attract leading telcos and broadband vendors at recent Annual Meeting held virtually on May 5, 2020.
GULFPORT, Miss., May 18, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Broadband Multimedia Marketing Association (BMMA), an international organization dedicated to bringing together broadband marketing professionals from the telco and vendor communities to share best practices, recently elected its Board of Directors for 2020-2021 at the BMMA 2020 Annual Meeting held virtually on May 5th.
The BMMA Board of Directors for 2020-2021 includes:
- Co-chair: Jonathan Babbitt, MTA
- Co-chair: Roger Lewis, GVTC
- Treasurer: Casey Thompson, TDS
- Secretary: Jonathan Bond, Cincinnati Bell
- Director: Brian Murray, F-Secure
- Director: Brian Ragsdale, Windstream
- Director: Greg Owens, Calix
- Executive Director: Ellis D. Hill, ResearchFirst, Inc.
"GVTC's membership with BMMA is one of the most beneficial and valuable partnerships we have. BMMA creates an open forum with other service providers from across the country and Canada to share the latest industry topics related to products and marketing, research analysis, while having great open discussions on best practices, challenges, and opportunities. Bringing value to the members is always a priority while networking and peer sharing go the next level. I'm proud and appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors and look forward to another exciting year," said Roger Lewis, re-elected BMMA Board member co-chair and Product Manager for GVTC.
"BMMA is MTA's most valuable industry association. We would not have been as successful with our linear TV exit strategy, or our launch of managed Wi-Fi, without access to the tools, research, and relationships the association provides. This is our secret; and it's what keeps us ahead of the competition. BMMA has created a unique peer engagement platform that allows both service operators and vendors to be successful in times of crisis, and celebration," added Jonathan Babbitt, re-elected BMMA Board of Directors co-chair and VP of Product Marketing & Sales for MTA.
"Having a group of peer service providers that we can lean on when making important decisions regarding products, competition, and customer trends is invaluable. Gaining knowledge from these peers on best practices, getting their sound advice, and relying on them to validate our thinking allows TDS to make better decisions which can greatly accelerate company initiatives in our fast-paced industry. The depth of these peer connections would not have been possible without the help of the BMMA," said Casey Thompson, re-elected BMMA Board member treasurer and Sr. Manager of Data Product Management for TDS.
"Cincinnati Bell continues to be a member of the BMMA because the organization provides valuable best practices and a forum to help drive better product and customer experiences. The ability to learn, share and connect with peers and partners throughout this industry is a tremendous asset and resource. It's a great privilege to be on the BMMA Board and to help serve our industry in the coming year," added Jonathan Bond, newly elected BMMA Board Secretary and Director of Video Product Strategy for Cincinnati Bell & Hawaiian Telcom.
"The BMMA provides a unique opportunity for peers in the telecommunication industry to work towards improving not only our businesses but Broadband as a whole. Through the BMMA, we are driving change in the Broadband space that benefits end users across the entire North America continent," said Brian Ragsdale, re-elected BMMA Board member and Director of Product Marketing for Windstream.
"The BMMA is an important industry organization, dedicated to helping professionals with responsibilities for launching and marketing new broadband and connected home services," said Greg Owens, elected BMMA Board member and Senior Director, Product Marketing at Calix. "I am honored to be re-elected to a third consecutive term to the Board of Directors. I've been involved with the BMMA for 10 years and can attest to the organization's ongoing commitment to providing members with information about industry trends, market conditions, and the challenges and opportunities presented by our industry."
"F-Secure's foundation is based on the success of its partners. BMMA provides a unique opportunity to have open, collaborative dialog with both broadband service providers and the partner ecosystem they participate in. As a global leader in consumer cyber security, this dialog ensures we are in lock step with the needs of our customers and partners to ensure mutual success," said Brian Murray, recently re-elected BMMA Board member and Head of North America Service Provider Sales for F-Secure.
