CCO Awarded Joint Accreditation for Its Continuing Education Program
RESTON, Va. Joint Accreditation is a collaboration of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry’s Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (ARBO/COPE). Accreditation allows CCO to simultaneously provide medicine, pharmacy, nursing, physician assistant, and optometry continuing education activities for healthcare professionals. As a leading model for interprofessional collaborative practice, Joint Accreditation for IPCE establishes the required standards for education providers to deliver IPCE.
