C-Strategies, Inc. Wins Gold And Silver In 2023 American Business Awards®
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) May 08, 2023 -- C-Strategies, Inc., a strategic communications and public affairs firm, was named the winner of one Gold and one Silver Stevie® Awards in The 21st Annual American Business Awards®. President and CEO Becky Carroll won Gold for Communications, Investor Relations or PR Executive of the Year, and C-Strategies won Silver for Public Relations Agency of the Year. C-Strategies also took home two Bronze Stevie® awards for Communications or PR Campaign of the year, receiving recognition for its work with the Golden Apple Foundation in the Media Relations category and its work with the Muslim Civic Coalition in the Events & Observances category.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 13. Considered one of Chicago and Illinois’ top public affairs strategists, Gold Stevie Award Winner Becky Carroll is a seasoned communications veteran. Since founding C-Strategies in 2015, Carroll and her team have led communications on some of the state’s most prominent projects. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Winning submissions are evaluated based on their overall quality, as well as evidence of innovation, integrity, effectiveness, creativity, growth and more. More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
One judge said of Carroll’s accomplishments and work: “Impressive work from someone who passionately cares about her community - and justice. She certainly doesn't shy away from tough challenges.” Another remarked on her “impressive portfolio and brilliant achievements,” while another lauded “her effort to support the firm’s continuous growth.”
Taking home Silver for Public Relations Agency of the Year, C-Strategies’ winning earned media and advocacy campaigns secured a combined total of well over 1,500 unique earned media hits in 2021 and 2022 and two Bronze Stevie awards. Judges praised the firm’s campaign to launch Muhammad Ali Day in Illinois, with one saying: “Bringing different voices to the campaign, varying locations where media would be seen by the public and time to lead up to the event helped drive the engagement from a strong planning perspective.” In response to the firm’s targeted earned media campaign for the Golden Apple Foundation, one judge remarked that the campaign “features all of the elements of a solid communications plan, and is executed well.”
In the past two years, C-Strategies has planned and executed several high-impact public affairs and advocacy campaigns, including a multi-state campaign to promote broadband access during the pandemic; a statewide campaign to ban assault weapons in Illinois; a citywide campaign to protect workers rights; and more.
