California Camp and Retreat Property Management Organization Announces New Chief Operations Officer
PETALUMA, Calif. (PRWEB) October 19, 2018 -- United Camps, Conferences and Retreats (UCCR), a California-based non-profit cooperative is happy to announce that Kent Shelby, most recently of Lake Doniphan Conference & Retreat Center in Excelsior Springs, MO, has been hired as the new Chief Operations Officer.
Under the general guidance of the President/CEO, the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the financial review and oversight of all field operations and new business development of the Corporation in support of the mission and vision of United Camps, Conferences and Retreats (UCCR). The COO will provide leadership and operational insight within the context of the highest levels of customer service and hospitality.
Kent has held leadership positions (e.g., Associate Camp Director / Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor, Community Center Director, Facility Manager, Aquatics Director, Building Director and Executive Director) at nonprofit camps in Missouri, Ohio and Michigan for over 20 years.
During Kent's younger years, his parents managed camps for a non-profit organization, providing a great environment for understanding the inner workings of camp property management & hospitality services.
UCCR has been managing all aspects of facility management for camps and retreat centers since 1970. UCCR operates 13 facilities California, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
