Carolina Games Summit adds Authentic Film Memorabilia plus Friday Night Freeplay to 2020 Event
Carolina Games Summit has again booked The Maxwell Center for their 2020 event in Goldsboro, N.C. The event has been expanded to include Friday, January 31st from 6pm - 11pm as well as Saturday, February 1st from 10am - 9pm.
GOLDSBORO, N.C., Jan. 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Carolina Games Summit has again booked The Maxwell Center for their 2020 event in Goldsboro, N.C. The event has been expanded to include Friday, January 31st from 6pm - 11pm as well as Saturday, February 1st from 10am - 9pm.
"Friday attendees will be able to try out the games and equipment in a casual environment before a full day of competitive tournaments begin on Saturday." states Michael Everett, Creative Director for Carolina Games Summit. "Friday allowed us to add large tournaments that need two days to complete, like Overwatch and Fortnite, while also hosting fun to watch tournaments such as VR sensation Beat Saber and all music no video game JS Joust."
This year, Carolina Games Summit will welcome a special exhibit from Wesley Cannon, owner and CEO of Hollywood History. Cannon's Goldsboro home has been featured in multiple magazines and shows including SYFY's "Hollywood Treasures" and the recently released Netflix series "Amazing Interiors"; showcasing his impressive collection of props, costumes, and other memorabilia. Cannon has also produced and acted in multiple films including one in the Puppet Master franchise and a newly completed zombie flick "Bridge of the Doomed" that will be released in 2020.
Cannon's exhibit will feature a variety of authentic Hollywood film memorabilia for guests to view, enjoy and some allowing with various photo opportunities. It will be included as part of the Carolina Games Summit and will be housed in a dedicated room at the Maxwell Center.
Complimenting Cannon's exhibit, horror themed virtual reality games will be featured by XRVR: Esports Lounge and Virtual Reality Arcade. XRVR features over thirty different games and travels throughout the Carolina's providing VR games for public and private events. This year, they will highlight popular horror games including "Paranormal Activity" and "Dreadhalls", as well as a variety of different escape rooms.
XRVR is also proud to bring multiplayer VR to the Carolina Games Summit in 2020, allowing players to go head-to-head in challenging and exciting scenarios. For the more daring players, XRVR will host a "SuperHot" tournament, in which players will punch, shoot, and dodge their way to the highest score of the day.

The Carolina Games Summit will be held Friday, January 31st from 6pm - 11pm and Saturday, February 1st from 10am - 9pm. This will include video game bands, a cosplay contest, tabletop gaming, and speakers from video game development companies. Representatives from colleges and schools will be on site to discuss career opportunities within video game development, art, and film production curriculum.
