For the 2019 model year, the Volkswagen Jetta received a complete redesign, which includes a brand-new trim level and additional interior safety features. The 2019 Jetta is available for a starting MSRP of $18,745.
The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta can be found in five trim levels: S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium. All five trims utilize a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 1.4-liter engine paired with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Jetta outputs 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.
A new trim level has also been introduced for 2019: SEL Premium. This trim adds leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, 17-inch wheels and a navigation system. This trim also comes standard with the Cold Weather package, which includes heated windshield washer nozzles, remote engine start, a heated windshield wiper park zone, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
Numerous driver assistance features are available for the 2019 Jetta. Base models can be equipped with an optional Driver Assistance package, which adds a blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert and a forward collision warning system with automatic emergency braking. These features all come standard in SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium models.
