Chalk to help CLEF digitally deliver curriculum - Enabling Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation schools to utilize custom curriculum content effectively
TORONTO (PRWEB) November 15, 2018 -- Chalk Education Inc. (Chalk), partners with Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation (CLEF), leading technology-focused education institution supporting over 2500 students across 23 schools, to deliver its curated curriculum content to its schools digitally. The Chalk platform aligns content, instruction, and results to increase student achievement. It supports the implementation and analysis of curriculum content while enabling two-way communication and coaching between administration and educators in the classroom.
CLEF partnered with Concordia University Chicago to co-develop the Collaboratively Articulated Plan of Study (CAPS). It recognized the need for teacher-focused technology to seamlessly deliver that curriculum to the educators in its schools. Simultaneously two of CLEF’s schools understood the value of the infrastructure and content created for its teachers. The challenge of how to best store, manage, and engage with the content was noted, and Chalk was being researched as an individual school solution. These two initiatives were joined, and the combination of Chalk Instruction and Chalk Curriculum was the ideal solution.
“We chose Chalk because its platform aligned with CLEF’s goal to equip teachers to provide its students with academically challenging but caring experiences,” said Rachel Swanson, CLEF Instructional Technology Coordinator. “CLEF has developed a curriculum focused on growing our students, and we believe Chalk is the platform that will help our teachers deliver this content.”
As with any change initiative, the fact that two of the CLEF schools were already considering Chalk as a viable option for delivering this curated curriculum content meant alignment from day one and a much higher success rate of implementation. Both sides knew they could entrust this high-quality curriculum content to a platform that matched the level of care we put into our schools.
“Chalk is thrilled to have CLEF using its solutions. It is a thought leader in the education space and wants to maximize student success by embracing technology to empower its educators,” said William Zhou, Chalk CEO. “What was unique about CLEF is how they partner with their schools to deliver innovative and quality education to students. The partnership between the organization, CLEF’s schools and Chalk is a match made for student success.”
