Chicago based clothing start up Coastal Crew emerges from stealth mode with a new take on the Hoodie
Coastal Crew, an online apparel brand out of Chicago launches brand with The Deckhand Hoodie, a cross between a dress shirt and casual hoodie.
CHICAGO, Dec. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Is there such a thing as a "dressy" hoodie? There is now. Coastal Crew, a new online apparel brand has launched the Deckhand Hoodie, a hoodie that can be worn at the beach, to work, the bar or even a nice dinner out. "The hoodie is such a popular item but there are very few hoodies on the market that could be worn say, out to a nice dinner" said Coastal Crew Founder JP Gavin. "We took the formal look of a dress shirt and combined it with a hoodie. There is literally nothing else like it on the market".
Four styles are currently available, each with a unique gingham dress shirt pattern inside the hood inspired by the great coastal towns in the US: Seaside Florida, Cape Cod, Nantucket and Charleston, South Carolina. "We launched the brand on black Friday and have already sold out of two of our designs" said Gavin.
Coastal Crew has been under wraps for almost a year as the brand geared up for launch. "We were very meticulous about every item we launched with. From our stickers and t-shirts to our hoodies" said Gavin. "It took us longer than anticipated to launch but now that we are in market the response has been off the charts". Coastal Crew's launch selection is fairly limited and only available on the brand's website at http://www.coastalcrew.com. "We curated a handful of items we felt really good about. Now we are just looking at the data to help us figure out what to launch next!" Said Gavin.
