Chicagoan Buys Illinois’ First CAMP365 Camping Trailer, The World’s First Fold-Out Cabin
CHICAGO and MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) September 12, 2019 -- CAMP365 (http://www.camp365.com), the cabin that goes everywhere, recently sold the first CAMP365 camper to be registered in Illinois. Kraig Smith and Pamela Bertucci, residents of Chicago’s northwest side Avondale neighborhood purchased “the world’s first fold-out cabin” to increase the comfort of camping and extend the camping season for their family of four (and their dog) without paying to park a camper off-site or relocating the family car.
“It fits comfortably in our standard city garage and pulls easily behind our Subaru but won’t cramp our style when we stretch out and sleep in the well-equipped and spacious cabin that includes a queen bed, bunks for the kids and enough standing room for the whole family,” said Smith. “CAMP365 was the only camper that worked for our urban family! After researching campers for more than a year and nearly settling for an A-frame pop-up, we called it off due to the cramped sleeping quarters and minimal storage width of six-and-a-half feet.”
Smith opted to add CAMP365’s patented Adjustable Wheel Base. While being towed, the adjustable wheel base functions at six-foot width to pull the aerodynamic and narrow camper. In just 90 seconds, however, the axle shrinks to just under four feet wide, enabling it to be pulled buy all-terrain vehicles, towed down small trails and paths, or in Smith’s case, stowed tightly in a limited-capacity garage. Garage storing their new CAMP365 camper saved the Smith family $200-250/month, the cost to store even the smallest traditional pop-up camper on a 20-feet parking spot within a mile of their home. The adjustable wheel base also makes it incredibly easy to change a flat tire with no jack required.
“The adjustable wheel base, like the camper itself, illustrates the all-new vision, approach and engineering that makes CAMP365 so special, so different, and so appealing to so many different people,” said Kevin McGregor, CEO of CAMP365. “Initially developed to get CAMP365 into places no other camper can go, the adjustable wheelbase makes all the difference for people who need to store their camper in a tight space without displacing the family car. City dwellers finally have a comfortable camper to escape into nature without needing to store it away from their home.”
Launched at select camping and RV trade shows in 2018, nine years of research and development were poured into CAMP365. The core design, size and specs of CAMP365 are here to stay. The company insists that any and all future improvements must comply to the existing design; so customers who invest in a CAMP365 camper today can customize and upgrade their camper over time without worrying that their model will become outdated or obsolete.
Chicago’s first CAMP365 camper has been well-equipped for the Smith-Bertucci family.
“We look forward to camping in November, and hopefully getting out there again as early as March; so opting for the integrated temperature controls and three-season insulation package were absolute no-brainers for us,” added Smith. “What we wanted didn’t exist when we started doing the research in 2017, and we’re all grateful that CAMP365 came to market when it did. Just days after bringing the camper home from the manufacturing facility, we immediately took it out for its first excursion, a week-long trip through Wisconsin and to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to close out the summer.”
Informal demos available upon request:
The Smith-Bertucci family plans to demo their new CAMP365 camper at a park near their home for select members of the media interested in seeing Illinois’ first. Dates and times can be arranged upon request.
