NEW YORK, Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- China has been faced with an ongoing crisis - a shortage in pilots and aviation training schools. The supply of pilots and aircraft maintenance personnel cannot keep up with the increasing demand. Careers in aviation, which includes pilots and professional aircraft maintenance technicians have large gaps in the market. According to the expectation of " Commercial Market Outlook 2018-2037" published by Boeing Company, based on the 6.2% expected annual growth rate on passenger traffic, China "over the next 20 years it is expected that this trend will continue with airlines needing 7,690 new airplanes, valued at $1.2 billion. The majority of the airplanes, 75 percent, will be single aisle aircrafts." Boeing's forecast page in the " Services Market Outlook 2018-2037" stated "the aviation professional personnel demand at Asia-Pacific area will be 799,000, which equates to 240,000 in pilots, 242,000 in maintenance professionals, and 317,000 in cabin crews".
China's Aviation Training has many limitations such as army-controlled air rights, limiting the amount of experienced coaches available, lack of professional aviation academy and other factors. Since US-trained pilots and technicians are in high demand and good choices for future development, aviation programs are a popular area of study.
So, for the shortage which has quickly become a crisis, what can we do? What will be a solution?
Thompson Education Center (TEC) will have many different areas of study and training programs. One program will be the International Aviation Program. TEC will develop an aviation training base in the United States focusing on the needs of each student and specializing in pilot training, maintenance technician and cabin crew. TEC hopes to introduce aviation manufacturing to China and achieve the development in China. In addition, they will create a characteristic aviation project.
TEC has signed contracts with schools in China and Flight Academies in the US to provide the aviation training programs with top resources including equipment, airport training site, curriculum and coaches. The education center will be located at Thompson Town, Sullivan County, Upstate New York, US. After the completion of the construction, this high-intelligent university community can host at least 1,000 aviation students each year, providing them classrooms, one-on-one training rooms, simulators, dorms, food courts, auxiliary facilities and other buildings and services. Thompson Education Center wants to provide students the best education and school experiences to help them succeed.
