Johnson, PsyD has been named Chair of the organization, succeeding Conscious Capitalism Chicago founder Thea Durfee Polancic. Polancic remains on the leadership team as co-chair of the Membership Committee while also providing counsel and continuity.
Johnson is the founder of Q4-Consulting, Inc. a boutique consulting firm with a focus on developing embodied, conscious leaders & their teams. Marking a renewed mission to promote the philosophy of Conscious Capitalism in the Chicago area, Johnson emphasized the organization's commitment to the Chicagoland business community.
"Interest in the principles of Conscious Capitalism reveals a hunger for doing business differently. Conscious leaders position purpose at the center of business, develop their teams & culture to serve all stakeholders for the greater good. And, they know it starts with their own conscious leadership journey," says Johnson.
"We believe that business is good because it creates value, it is ethical because it is based on voluntary exchange, it is noble because it can elevate our existence, and it is heroic because it lifts people out of poverty and creates prosperity," said Johnson. "Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. But we can aspire to even more. We are excited to continue to educate ourselves and others in the Chicago area about the tenets of Conscious Capitalism and the relationship between those principles and how they influence being a conscious business."
