Counter Intelligence Retail (CiR) to be Rebranded The NPD Group
CiR will become the Travel Retail practice at NPD, known as NPD Travel Retail
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Jan. 23, 2019 Counter Intelligence Retail (CiR), travel retail's leading commercial development specialists, has announced that effective today, it will be rebranded as The NPD Group. Part of the NPD family since December 2016, CiR has continued to provide travel retail data and industry expertise complementing NPD's robust portfolio of offerings. Recognized globally for its industry expertise, NPD is committed to serving travel retail. To align with the rest of the business, CiR is being rebranded as The NPD Group. Effective 23 January, CiR will become the Travel Retail practice at NPD, known as NPD Travel Retail.
Alongside the rebrand, NPD plans to introduce new services, including an airport level sales performance product linked to an enhanced traveler statistics and shopper intelligence service.

Additionally, NPD has created and published the latest ETRC sales and traffic report, to be presented at the ETRC forum in Amsterdam on Thursday, 24 January 2019.
NPD's Travel Retail practice specializes in traveler statistics, shopper and nationality insights, and key market trends for all the major categories sold in duty-free; it is the one-stop shop for this. The practice provides clients with an understanding of this channel so they can create action-oriented plans to drive revenue.
