Crucial Care Announces Monthly Membership Plan Available To All
Crucial Care now offers a new monthly membership program giving patients the ability to access all of Crucial Care's services at a low, monthly rate.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., August 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Crucial Care, a Medical Life Holdings company, announced today a new monthly membership program for consumers. The program gives patients the ability to access all of Crucial Care's services at a low, monthly rate.
Effective on July 1, 2018, a new bill passed by State of Florida legislature (HB37) allows healthcare providers to enter into direct payment relationships with patients for medical services. Previously, this was an option only available to employers.
Mike Shumer, CEO of Crucial Care, shared his excitement for the new program. "We launched the program on July 1st of this year and are overwhelmed by the number of people who have already signed up. Crucial Care has been offering a monthly access program to large Jacksonville employers for 11 years. We are excited to be able to offer the same access directly to consumers and small businesses."
Crucial Care is a unique model that blends urgent care and emergency services. "We provide a one-of-a-kind medical facility. We offer Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians, CT Scans, IV fluids, IV medications, X-Rays and Hospital Level blood work. We are equipped to handle life's emergencies, but can also treat your everyday cough or cold," said Dr. Nick Dodaro, a Board-Certified ER Physician and Crucial Care's Chief Medical Officer. The new plan gives patients access to quality care with no limitations for pre-existing conditions or restrictions for patient eligibility. "Our goal is to make healthcare convenient and affordable for all consumers by expanding our payment options for those who may not otherwise have access. This is a program that can benefit anyone but is a particularly good fit for those without insurance or on a high-deductible insurance plan. It's also a great fit for employers who want to offer additional healthcare options to their employees," said Shumer.
The Crucial Care Plan is not insurance. It is intended to expand medical services to individuals who want access to healthcare without the stress of unexpected medical bills. In addition to this plan, Crucial Care also accepts insurance for over 20 health plans serving customers throughout North Florida.
