Utah company Studies Weekly invites teachers and students to participate in Every Kid Votes, a free mock election program.
OREM, Utah, Oct. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A Utah company is hoping to get students all over the nation excited about voting during this year's Presidential Election.
Studies Weekly invites teachers and students to participate in Every Kid Votes, a free mock election program that provides elementary lesson plans and resources to help teach the American political system, current issues, and the 2020 election. It also gives students a chance to feel connected to the presidential election through a hands-on voting simulation.
Teachers can sign up before Oct. 27 at everykidvotes.org, so their students have a voice in the November 2020 election.
How does it work?
The program has just a few steps. Teachers select the grade-level-appropriate lesson plans at teachertools.studiesweekly.com/every-kid-votes to use in the weeks leading up to the election.
Students can practice using the voting system at everykidvotes.org. On Oct. 28, 2020, students can start voting online. As they do, they will see how their results compare to schools all over the nation.
Studies Weekly has held this free mock presidential election since 2004, with millions of students participating across the country. These students have predicted the correct winning candidate three out of four times.
