Cybereason Names Russell Stein Chief Financial Officer and Roi Carmel Chief Strategy and Product Officer

In addition, the company expanded its executive management team with three internal promotions. Emmy Linder was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, Cindy Klein Roche has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer and Bhanu Sareddy is the new Chief Customer Officer.

Russell Stein, Chief Financial Officer
Stein joins Cybereason with more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently at Intellectual Ventures where he worked for more than eight years as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Investments and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch in a variety of roles, including CEO of Merrill Lynch Bank, Managing Director, Head of Global Corporate Finance (Investment Banking Division) and Global Treasurer.
Russ’s distinguished career includes many awards and accolades: Seattle Business Magazine’s ‘CFO of the Year,’ the Alexander Hamilton Award for overall treasury excellence, Treasury and Risk’s Top ‘40 Under 40,’ Investment Dealers Digest’s ‘40 Under 40’ and Treasury and Risk’s ‘100 Most Influential People in Finance.’ Russ holds numerous patents and patent applications ranging from new types of financial securities and financial algorithms, to fruit ripening methods and payment fraud detection & fraud prevention.
Roi Carmel, Chief Strategy & Product Officer
Carmel brings nearly 20 years of business and product leadership experience to Cybereason, and he has created many winning product strategies and teams with a focus on operational and execution excellence as well as sales messaging and methodologies. Most recently, he served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Corporate Strategy Officer at Perfecto Mobile. Prior to that, Carmel held multiple executive roles at Hewlett Packard Software where he headed the DevOps and Automated Quality business. He also ran strategic resells and the Enterprise Mobility strategy for the HP ALM business.
Previously, Carmel won the Medal of Honor for his military service in special ops with the Israeli Defense Forces.

Emmy Linder, Chief Operations Officer
Linder, previously Cybereason’s Global Head of Operations and Chief of Staff, has 15 years of senior management experience, including five years in operating product and project management roles in technology companies. Prior to joining Cybereason, Linder worked for The Boston Consulting Group, where she focused on operational excellence and organizational design programs. Linder began her career as an Intelligence Officer in the Israeli Defense Forces Unit 8200 where she commanded a 24/7 intelligence team.
Cindy Klein Roche, Chief Marketing Officer
Klein Roche, Cybereason’s former Vice President Brand, has more than 20 years of experience in integrated marketing, brand building and customer experience at Fortune 1000 companies such as TripAdvisor, athenahealth and Fidelity. She has built top global brands from scratch, driven significant growth in brand awareness, and created successful go-to-market programs for consumer, small business, and enterprise audiences that led to dramatic sales results. In her time with Cybereason, she has created innovative and non-traditional marketing programs that are fostering lasting connections with customers and driving new business.
Bhanu Sareddy, Chief Customer Officer
Sareddy, Cybereason’s former Senior Vice President of Customer Success, has a track record of defining the customer journey and delivering value. With experience at Tufin, Fuze, Aveksa (RSA), and Netegrity (CA), he has managed professional services, customer success, and support teams delivering enterprise-grade solutions. During his time with Cybereason, Sareddy has established himself as a results-driven leader increasing revenue, creating long-term relationships and building trust with all customers.
