YARMOUTH PORT, Mass., March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- JJManning Auctioneers is pleased to announce that Dennis P. Lydon, Esq. has joined our team as Vice President of Sales – South Region (MA, RI, CT & NY).
President and Chief Financial Officer, Justin Manning, notes that Attorney Lydon's extensive real estate law experience has been of significant assistance with some of JJManning Auctioneer's more complex engagements including late 2018 sales of $8.9 million of Newport, RI county's exclusive Carnegie Abbey Club, $1.21 million of the 42-acre Melville Marina/Weaver Cove complex in Portsmouth RI with the buyer assuming responsibility for substantial environmental remediation, and $6.05 million of a circa 1914 Scarsdale, NY estate thereby helping to finalize the transactions for these complex commercial, industrial, and luxury residential properties.
Attorney Lydon first assisted JJManning Auctioneers in 2005, consulting on the sale of NSTAR's former "Cannon Station" power plant in New Bedford, MA for which the Company achieved a sale of $12.4 million plus $3 million of pollution clean-up costs.
Experience with the Company's ability to procure strong, hassle-free, expedited sales in a variety of circumstances grew through direct involvement in absolute auctions for an estate property in Sandwich, MA in 2014, for a partially gutted E. Boston, MA home that attracted 28 bidders and sold for over 2.5 times the City's assessed value in 2017, and for a water view home on Cape Cod in early 2018. Attorney Lydon was so impressed with the straight forward approach and results of these sales, that he agreed to come on board with JJManning Auctioneers to promote the firm's services on a formal basis.
Attorney Lydon resides in Fall River MA and manages many of JJManning's engagements in Southern New England & New York. Real estate consignments are currently being accepted for Spring auctions.
