Doug Chapin Joins Fors Marsh Group

To accelerate the leadership, expertise, and intelligence that organizations are relying on FMG to provide, they are proud to announce that Doug Chapin has joined FMG as Director of Election Research. In this role, Doug will be responsible for leading the research, analysis, and delivery of FMG’s election research programs and our fantastic staff of experts in this field.
Doug joins FMG from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, where he served as the founder and first director of the Program for Excellence in Election Administration. This master- and undergraduate-level certificate program is aimed at students as well as practitioners and works to identify, recruit, and train the next generation of election administrators nationwide. Before this role, Doug served as Director of Election Initiatives for the Pew Center on the States and was the founder of electionline.org, still the nation’s premier source of nonpartisan news and information about election administration across the United States. Doug is a well-known writer and speaker in the field and has an extensive academic background, having earned a law degree from Georgetown University, a master of public administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and an A.B. in politics from Princeton University.
Doug’s professional expertise and staff leadership will increase the positive impact that FMG will bring to this critical area of civic engagement.
