About Dr. Basil Pakeman:
Dr. Basil Pakeman, M.D., F.R.C.S., specializes in Cosmetic Surgery, Lipo-surgery and Oculofacial surgery (plastic surgery related to the eye and face). Dr. Pakeman is double board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and by the Royal College of Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Pakeman is also a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves as the medical director of Manhattan Surgical Care.
Dr. Pakeman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His post-doctoral training included an internship at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City, an Ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital, and an Oculoplastic Surgery externship at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He was also trained in Aesthetic Cosmetic surgery of body and face at The Institute of Higher Studies in Medicine in Mexico. He also completed a fellowship in cosmetic head and neck surgery.
