EDGE Sports Performance Announces Official Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Partnership with ProRehab Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (PRWEB) September 06, 2019 -- ProRehab Louisville has partnered with EDGE Sports Performance to bring top-notch preventative sports medicine and sports injury experts for rehabilitation to young Louisville athletes.
Building off of a long-standing partnership with King Louie’s Sports Complex, the facility that houses EDGE’s training and fitness programs, the expert physical therapists at ProRehab will be ensuring that young athletes participating in EDGE training and athletics will be well-educated on injury prevention as well as having access to cutting-edge sports medical care.
“Physical fitness is an important aspect of health for kids to learn at a young age,” said John Hardy, PT, DPT, OCS, physical therapist and clinic director at ProRehab Middletown. “Ensuring that kids are growing up healthy and participating in sports they love while mitigating the potential for injury is a reward in itself."
“I think that EDGE does an amazing job of really preparing young people to tackle sports head-on. A lot of kids get coached on playing, but nobody teaches them about how to avoid getting injured or even hurting others on the field. To me, that’s just as important as learning how to play in the first place,” said Edward Foring, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, physical therapist and clinic director at ProRehab Prospect.
EDGE offers a variety of classes that are tailored for the age groups that participate in them, with each class designed to prepare the students to seamlessly integrate into the next level as they grow in their athletic careers.
Speed School (ages 9-12) teaches the basics of body awareness, body control, and movement mechanics that set the stage for athletic success.
NXT LVL Juniors (ages 11-14) is for young athletes with a good foundation who are ready for a bigger challenge, this program prepares athletes for high-level club play and/or entry into high school athletics.
NXT LVL (ages 13-18) is an award-winning, nationally recognized system for developing advances athletes who compete at the highest possible level and prepares them for collegiate careers.
Currently, EDGE Sports Performance is Louisville’s only nationally recognized curriculum for reducing the risk of sports injury while developing the movement mechanics that create great athletes.
EDGE training systems and coaches have produced 61 National Championships, 13 Under Armour All-American Team members, 7 USA Nationals Team members, 600+ collegiate scholarships and professional contracts, and dozens of state championships.
