EMA to Host Webinar on Workload Automation (WLA) Research Findings
BOULDER, Colo. (PRWEB) September 11, 2018 -- Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm, today announced it will host a research webinar titled “The Shifting Role of Workload Automation,” featuring Dan Twing president and chief operations officer at EMA.
New research from EMA reveals that the role of WLA is expanding as organizations increase use of all forms of automation to become more efficient and competitive. All the while, digital transformation, DevOps, and microservices architectures are increasing the pressure on workload automation systems. Building on the 2016 “Issues and Priorities in Modern Workload Automation” and 2013 “Workload Automation in an Era of Cloud, Analytics, Enterprise Mobility, DevOps, and Big Data,” the EMA 2018 study revisits many important questions to monitor trends while exploring this expanding role and the convergence of workload automation with other automation disciplines.
A big part of the market migrated to new WLA tools over the past five years as the role of workload automation began to change. In 2013, 32% of the market was considering a change in software. By 2016, that number grew to 52%. Many have migrated to new tools to get better control of costs, improved scalability and performance, and for more integration into big data tools.
The 2018 research explores the motivations for migrating, the effort and challenges involved, and the resulting benefits in depth. The research also explores:
- Key pain points related to workload automation and areas of increased satisfaction
- Impact on WLA of top IT trends, including big data, analytics, and digital transformation
- Business unit and developer interaction with WLA software
- Trends in WLA from 2013 to 2018, including a look at new WLA users and those making the move to new software
The webinar is Tuesday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Those who are interested can register at: http://info.enterprisemanagement.com/shifting-role-of-workload-automation-webinar-pr
