Effort Determines the Winner in Post-Apocalyptic Setting of New Action and Adventure Fantasy Novel
Michael Altazin shares a tale of gods fighting to be on top in 'Proxy'
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- To stop humanity's extinction, the gods choose warriors to represent them in a final battle. Whoever survives earns divinity, but there can be only one in Michael Altazin's new action and adventure fantasy novel, "Proxy: The Measure of a God" (published by Archway Publishing).
The different gods of every mythology fight over worshippers, which leaves the planet in shambles. Eventually they agree to stop and have a fight by proxy by each pantheon (group of gods) picking a fighter of proper heritage. When a proxy successfully kills another the gods linked to that proxy die as well. The last proxy standing becomes a god. The action follows two main characters Griffin Eadi, a career thief, and Jet Yoshimoto, a detective, who have a history before being chosen by the gods to fight each other.
"Proxy uses multiple viewpoints and copious amounts of internal dialogue to tell a character driven story that uses gods, settings and themes from mythology," says Altazin, adding that he hopes his book teaches readers "The importance of confidence and self-improvement."
