MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In cooperation with DiscoverE and Urban Air Adventure Park, Engineering For Kids celebrates Girl Day by inviting girls ages 4-14 to participate in a free Introduce a Girl to Engineering workshop.
- Date: Feb 23, 2019 Saturday
- Time: 2:30-4:30pm
- Location: Urban Air Adventure Park - 10 Coon Rapids Blvd, Coon Rapids, MN 55448
- The cost to attend is free.
Girl Day is a worldwide campaign to introduce girls to the fascinating world of engineering. Thousands of people--engineers, teachers and others--act as Role Models and educate girls about how engineers change our world. This simple act has turned many girls on to engineering & technology careers.
"Girls bring a different perspective to engineering. They don't over-think it. Many boys only care to make their projects look cool, girls just get it done," says Ria Mojica, owner of Engineering For Kids.
In addition to the free workshop, Urban Air is giving a free 1-hr Deluxe Wristband for participants to use after the workshop (they just need to purchase the jump socks ($2.50) and sign a waiver to play).
Seats are limited. Register to reserve your slot at http://www.stem-mn.education.
