Envoy America Announces Charitable Strategic Partnership with The Phoenix Cancer Support Network
PHOENIX (PRWEB) July 10, 2018 -- Envoy America, a highly specialized ridesharing program that offers accompanied transportation plus assistance and companionship services for seniors and patients, announces that it has formed a strategic partnership with Phoenix Cancer Support Network (PCSN).
Continuing its corporate commitment to supporting local organizations that help the aging and those with compromised health, Envoy America has developed a unique partnership with PCSN, a non-profit, comprehensive, cancer care network that provides free support and advocacy to cancer patients. Envoy America has taken a unique role in helping the agency to help the community its serves. Specifically, Envoy America is extending services such as offering pro-bono rides to those undergoing treatment and providing administrative support to PCSN,
“PCSN is extremely grateful for this opportunity to assist us in our mission,” commented Jenny Martin, Executive Director and CEO of PCSN. “Getting involved with local businesses is a great way for us to create a sense of community whild helping us spread of our mission,” added Martin.
“This partnership with Phoenix Cancer Support Network in the city where Envoy America was launched is close to our hearts, helping those in need is a calling for us and we want to make sure that everyone we serve feels well taken care of,” Envoy America CEO K.C. Kanaan says. “We are filling a void that services like Uber and Lyft cannot fulfill by not only offering transporation but a more compassionate, white glove level of care,” added Kanaan.
Envoy America is disrupting the ridesharing industry with an elevated level of service that targets the aging population, one of the fast growing demographics in the country. Envoy America currently services 68 cities with an additional 20 cities slated for the remainder of 2018.
Instead of the standard pick up and drop off service of traditional transportation/ridesharing companies, Envoy America offers a door-to-door service where driver companions not only drive, but also provide assistance at all points along the journey from pushing a grocery cart, to running errands and taking clients to and from appointments. Drivers remain with clients until they are back home. All drivers undergo specialized training including senior and patient sensitivity, CPR, and a senior memory module specifically designed by pioneer Jan Dougherty, former Director of Community Relations and Training for Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, all of which make them especially, qualified to understand their clients. As an added bonus, Envoy America is a veterans and women friendly company. Furthermore, many of the drivers are Seniors themselves which is a great way to pay it forward. Envoy America does not hire driver companions looking for a job. Rather, they seek folks who view assisting others as a calling.
Founded in 2015, K. C. Kanaan established Envoy America after seeing first-hand how losing the ability to drive affected his parents. He watched his parents become increasingly isolated and disengaged after losing their independence and saw a clear need for reliable and safe transportation for seniors who cannot or shouldn’t drive. Envoy America was born out of this personal need to help seniors stay independent, healthy and socially active – all without getting behind the wheel of a car.
