Executive Director of the Alliance, Hector Salgado, Accepts Position with the American Heart Association – Charlotte, NC.
RALEIGH, N.C. (PRWEB) December 16, 2018 -- The Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina, Inc. (the “Alliance”) announces the resignation of Executive Director, Hector Salgado. Hector will be relocating to Charlotte to help care for his ailing mother and has accepted a position with the American Heart Association.
“I am extremely proud of the incredible work the Alliance has done in the past three years. We have more than doubled our HIV testing numbers, and more than tripled the clients that we serve through our pantry. The Alliance has a bright future, incredible staff and a strong board and I look forward to continuing to support the organization in this next chapter of its story. We are just getting started!” said Salgado of his three-year tenure as Alliance Executive Director.
Lindsay Holland the Alliance’s Associate Director has been named interim Executive Director. Lindsay has over eight years of HIV prevention experience and has been instrumental in shaping the Alliances testing strategies and leading the agency during its restructuring.
Current Board Chair, Rick Wellington, reflects, “For the last three years, the Alliance has been truly blessed with Hector’s leadership. He has skillfully led the organization as it refocused its Mission on serving the community by providing compassionate, nonjudgmental support, education, and care for the prevention of HIV/AIDS/STI. Hector leaves a strong foundation upon which the Board and Staff will continue to build.”
