Eye-Opening Novel Reveals the Horrors of an Everyday Household Product
Authors Ronald E. Gordon, Ph.D. and Joel Brokaw have released a tragic cautionary tale based on real events in 'Jane's Dust'
BREWSTER, N.Y., Jan. 24, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A new type of horror story, "Jane's Dust" by Ronald E. Gordon, Ph.D. and Joel Brokaw conveys a harrowing fictionalized account of one woman's struggle based on over 300 cases Dr. Gordon has been directly involved in that puts cancer victims up against some of America's top corporations. The monster in this story is not one many would expect. The monster, cosmetic talcum powder, marketed as safe by large companies, has been used on baby's bottoms for generations, in deodorants and has been in a host of many personal hygiene and cosmetic products for decades. This compelling story shares a deadly game of deception by special interests protecting the status quo and the large companies and executives who will not admit fault.
Jane is shocked when she is diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but this is just the start of what is to come. She endures doctor visits, surgeries, chemotherapy and then recovers only to develop a fatal mesothelioma. Jane eventually pursues a lawsuit against the makers of talcum powder and learns the cruel truth about big business and the lies used to cover up what top executives know. Through Jane's testimony, the novel exposes the reality faced by thousands of individuals due to the misleading horrors of cosmetic talcum powder.
Readers will be astounded as they learn of the monster who lurks in medicine cabinets and cosmetic aisles that is used regularly by friends, family and neighbors and the great lengths the monster's defenders will go through for personal gain and protection. "Jane's Dust" ultimately shows the tragic human cost behind the headlines of the corporate, scientific and legal deceit to preserve a company's reputation and profit.
