FaxCore can be used to send faxes from Epic with Epic Print Services (EPS). FaxCore will also post the status of the fax jobs back into Epic, along with optional Epic fax data fields and Patient information for advanced searching and reporting. The FaxCore portal allows users to see details on every fax job and search on metadata.
Epic users will be able to learn about FaxCore through the Epic App Orchard. FaxCore provides several key advantages for healthcare users, including secure fax through an on-premise, hybrid or cloud solution, as well as tracking for incoming and outgoing faxes and automating archival of every sent and received fax. For an added level of security, FaxCore leverages etherFAX's Secure Exchange Network allowing for DirectFax, thus ensuring HITRUST and PCI-compliance.
