Before devoting his life to the Lord, Richard Kuehn served as an air force officer and president of a manufacturer’s representative firm. After an enlightening spiritual experience, he took seven short-term missions to Haiti, studied in a seminary, and engaged in missionary work in Asia. He later became a senior pastor for the New Covenant Bible Fellowship Church, a congregation that he and his wife built, and served on the Council of the Association of Metro Baguio Christian Ministers in the Philippines. Richard then decided to broaden his reach by spreading the Gospel through writing.
In Perfection: The Abandoned Key, the author points out a frequently overlooked fact about salvation: it is a gift from God, but it is a Christian’s duty to work hard to earn that gift. He outlines the issue of man’s sinful nature and how it is imperative to study the Gospel extensively in order to fulfill God’s righteousness in Christians and be able to walk as Jesus walked on Earth.
With this book, Pastor Kuehn aims to help Christians remember their role in the Kingdom of God and learn how to better evaluate God’s expectations for those who claim to be born again in Him. He also calls on his fellow missionaries and pastors to empower the members of their congregations to not just settle with an assurance of salvation, but to learn how they can be worthy of it.
